strawberry image for across the universe movieDay 14 ... If you love the Beatles, off-beat movies with good endings, great music and incredible scenes, check out Across the Universe. The movie is essentially a rock opera using the Beatles' music and the Vietnam War as a backdrop for a romance. This will certainly go down as one of my favorite movies ... for more than the reasons in the first sentence.

You see it was picked by my teenage son for our weeknight movie selection ...  because of the music. Together, we all sat enraptured. It transcended generations. I am awed by that. And it made me pause ... if we are willing to look for them, there are lots of things that generations share in common.
