For the past two days I’ve had the pleasure of attending a planning meeting for the ASAE & The Center’s Component Relation’s Section Council. This year I’m finishing up my tenure by serving as past chair. To mark this, the current chair gave me this wonderful gift.

Like community volunteers, professional volunteers indicate wanting to make a difference for others and society as a driving force in choosing to volunteer. So while they expect career benefits from their professional volunteering, members want professional volunteer roles that help make a difference such as building a stronger profession.
