Day 14 … If you love the Beatles, off-beat movies with good endings, great music and incredible scenes, check out Across the Universe. The movie is essentially a rock opera using the Beatles’ music and the Vietnam War as a backdrop for a romance. This will certainly go down as one of my favorite movies … for more than the reasons in the first sentence.
You see it was picked by my teenage son for our weeknight movie selection … because of the music. Together, we all sat enraptured. It transcended generations. I am awed by that. And it made me pause … if we are willing to look for them, there are lots of things that generations share in common.
